Hawkeye Movers, agent for Atlas Van Lines, local and long distance moving from Davenport, Iowa, was started by Charles VanderHart as a continuation of VanderHart Transfer, a trucking company started by his father in Pella, Iowa. As a small family business in the moving industry, Hawkeye Movers grew as a company while the VanderHart family grew. With a total of eight children, Charles knew that he would never be able to provide a college education for each one of his children, so he taught each one of us how to work and to earn our education through honest work. These principles extended into later life for each one of the VanderHart children. as all eight children grew to move out and put family first by investing the principles learned from the moving company to make literature, art, music, and innovation into what we care about and education our respective families to attain.

The youngest VanderHart sibling is currently in attendance at Sheperds College, a college which encourages that each child use their individual special needs to create special skills for each person to be a part of the community. Jordan has been excited to continue his education and has used the revenue created from the cardboard and paper which is used to pack items for a move, and that cardboard and paper is recycled to help fund his special education. All donations can be brought to Hawkeye Movers with Jordan's Recycling, or additionally you can be assured that if debris removal has been authorized, that all debris is recycled to reduce waste and provote environmental conservation.

Every year we collect and transport toys and school supplies which are sent to needy children overseas through the group Samaritan's Purse. We are happy to receive any gifts which you would like to donate to these children for Christmas presents. Samaritan's Purse uses any available resources to give international aid to people in need.
